On Sunday we will start a series of sermons on the book of Philippians. Please read the first chapter before coming to worship. My sermon title is, “Who Are We?” I will focus the words “…your partnership in the gospel…” (verse 5 NRSVUE) and “…my partners in God’s grace…” (verse 7). What do these say about who we are as a congregation? I suggest you look at several translations. Paul’s prayer is “…that your love may overflow more and more with knowledge and full insight to help you to determine what really matters…” (verse 9). What does this say about who we are?
