Godly Play

Godly Play is our Sunday School program for children 3-12 years. This ministry welcomes all children into the journey of learning about the stories of God and how much God loves them.  Each week they tell a story, do creative time and have a snack together. Godly Play is a creative, imaginative approach to Christian education and spiritual guidance.

Godly Play has a Montessori foundation with 40+ years of research and practice. It is based on the idea that children learn through story, experience, and hands-on play.

Classroom bulletin board with children's artwork, wooden shelves with books and toys, a large religious cross, a chalkboard with a clock showing the church year, and a colorful woven rug on the floor.

You’ll notice right when you walk into a Godly Play room that it’s unique. The materials are mainly made out of wood and other natural materials. The room is quiet and nurturing. All of these qualities foster a learning environment ideally suited for young children.

Additionally, our Godly Play leaders have gone through extensive training.

Classroom display with educational materials, artwork, and wooden shelves containing baskets and books. The whiteboard has fruit-themed cards with words like Love, Joy, Peace, Knock, Kindness, and Goodness, along with drawings of pineapples, cherries, and pineapples. There are snack items on the right side.
