Shalom Village Work and Dedication Party
Shalom Village is having a volunteer work party to complete the siding on our three framed buildings. We will also take the opportunity to bless our buildings by writing our prayers and hopes on the studs and inside the walls that day before the insulation and drywall go on. The event is Saturday, August 2nd from 9:00 until we finish or get worn out. Volunteers don't need to have any particular skills. They can be board holders, saw users, nailers, levelers, material carriers, cold drink and snack bringers, and volunteers to get everyone to sign the walls.

Help Needed in Daycare Kitchen for the Summer
Susan, our amazing daycare cook, had to take the summer off to care for her mother who has had some recent health issues. Drew Stark has graciously agreed to fill in for her. We are looking for folks who might be able to volunteer to help Drew with some tasks.
Help from Noon - 1 running the commercial dishwasher and putting dishes away. This would be something needed Monday - Friday, but if you are able to help just 1 or 2 days a week that is great too!
Occasional help chopping fruits and vegetables when needed. There are days when the meals require a lot of produce prep. We could let you know a day in advance when help will be needed. You will need your food handler’s permit to do this, which is easy to get online.
If you are able to volunteer, please call Barb Stark: 360-789-6858

Safe Parking Donation Needs
Safe Parking is open! Thanks to all of the wonderful volunteers that have agreed to help with hosting duties. Another possible way to help with this new ministry is by donating supplies. Here are a few items that are needed. You may even have one of these items laying around unused at your house or in your garage. Your donation would be much appreciated! You can bring items into the church office.
